How to Measure Your Bra Size
A Complete Guide
Did you know that around 80% of Pakistani women wear ill-fitting bras because they don’t know their correct size? Wearing the right bra is crucial not only for a polished look but also for proper posture and support. Many women skip measuring their bra size, which is the first step toward finding a perfectly fitting bra. The good news is that calculating your bra size is simple. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you.
Easy Steps to Find the Right Bra Size
Step 1
Calculate Band Size
- Wrap a measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, just under your bust. Ensure it’s level all the way around.
- Round the measurement to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add 4 inches. If it’s odd, add 5 inches.
- The sum is your band size.
Example: If your measurement is 25.6 inches, round it to 26. Band size = 26 + 4 = 30.
Step 2
Calculate Bust Size/Cup Size
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust. Ensure it’s neither too tight nor too loose and lies flat without any twists.
- Round this measurement to the nearest whole number.
- Subtract your band size (calculated in Step 1) from this measurement. The difference determines your cup size.
Example: If your bust measurement is 37 inches and your band size is 34 inches, the difference is 3 inches. That makes your size 34C.
Use this simple rule: If the difference is 1 inch, your cup size is A. For 2 inches, it’s B, and so on.
